Ch Itzyu The Red Baron

This is Ch. Itzyu The Red Baron, sired by Wakan Goodgrief Charlie Brown and out of Itzyu Tell It Like It Is. Baron is OFA Good, Fanconi clear, and CERF-able. He had a nice, if brief, show career, that included going Reserve Winners at the Cincinnati Specialty, one of his first shows.

Since then he has sired some very nice pups, including Ch. Wakan Iron Mojo (Best of Breed from the classes at the Potomac Hound Club show under breeder-judge Connie Paulsen) and Ch. Itzyu Walk The Line, JC, owned by Denise Searcy of Starfyre Basenjis. Baron has other kids that will be out and shown this year. He is notable for a really beautiful coat with lovely color and texture, good front, nice angles all around, good tailset, and a nice balance of solidity and refinement.

This is Mickey, Avongara Sorcerer's Apprentice, a full new African male sired by Avongara Worth the Wait and out of Avongara Kipingi. He is OFA Good, CERF-able, and Fanconi clear

Mickey is the sire of the #2 ASFA Basenji FC Thor's Itzyu Kidege, SC, a 75% Avongara out of Itzyu Lucy in Disguise, bred by Lisa Corell Auerbach and owned by Judy Brader. Zoe, a littermate to Kidege, is the adult Basenji pictured with Bailey..

Mickey also sired a full African litter out of Avongara Mbembe Itzyu, including Avongara Magic Moment Itzyu and Avongara Bold as Brass.

This is Avongara Mine All Mine, Flash. sired by Avongara Kasabu and out of Avongara Mwata of Brushy Run. Flash is OFA prelim good, prelim normal elbows, CERF-able, and Fanconi clear. He has a fantastic disposition, beautiful coat, pretty head, nice angles, and is an all-around wonderful dog. Itzyu Nick of Time

 

Itzyu Nick of Time (Timmy) is sired by Ch. JuJu's Pistol Pete and out of Avongara Mpenzi, which makes him 50% Avongara. Timmy is OFA Excellent, CERF-able, and Fanconi clear. His kids include:

Ch. JuJu's Pistol Pete

 

 Ch. JuJu's Pistol Pete was bred by Russell V. Brown and was owned by Itzyu.  Pete died shortly before his 14th birthday, in January 2001.  He lives on at Itzyu throughout our lines. Excepting our full African Avongaras and one elderly rescue, every Basenji we own or co-own today is descended from Pete. We still have two living sons here -- Itzyu Nick of Time (Timmy), and group and specialty winner Ch. Reveille Hoo Wants Roses (Hoover), and a daughter, Itzyu Just One Look (dam of Walker, Bailey, and Good Golly Miss Molly.) Pictured with Damara Bolte handling.
